Q: What makes you distinctly different than a traditional travel agent?

A: First, I’m there before, during and after the trip — 24/7. If someone misses a train in Italy, I’m the one fixing it. You’re not calling a call centre.Second, I deeply respect people’s time and emotional investment. Travel is not a small purchase — it’s money, time and memory-making. I take that responsibility seriously because people will carry these memories for life.Third, I redefine luxury travel. Luxury isn’t the most expensive hotel — it’s meaning, beauty, time and emotional value. True luxury is a meaningful experience that feels beautiful to the person living it.

Q: For someone discovering Marotta Travel for the first time, how would you describe your core services?

A: First, bespoke travel design. Clients complete an intake form where I learn about their destination goals, interests, who’s travelling, celebrations, and the purpose of the trip. A complimentary 30-minute call follows to discuss in more detail. From there, I curate a fully personalized itinerary that you can choose to either book independently or confirm through our trusted supplier partners.Second, small-group themed journeys guided by our commitment to travel with purpose. We have built partnerships that embody this ethos, and together we have created themed journeys centred on food, culture, heritage, and roots travel, helping people reconnect with their ancestry, traditions, and shared legacy. These trips are intimate, meaningful and community-driven.Third, independent experiences, starting with the Roman Experience Series. These are for people who like to book their own travel but want deeply authentic vetted experiences. These are hosted by people I know personally — people who welcome my clients into their homes and lives. It’s not transactional — it’s relational, intimate and human.
